Do you need more than an 8GB drive to install/mount this?
I've tried Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool...and other apps (ISOtoUSB) without any luck.

No. Microsoft only offered Windows Home Server 2011 in 64-bit only.

Personally, I absolutely love this release, it works great for me, i just used the "Patch W7" programs to activate it and it works great, BUT, because this is not the OEM/retail version, unless I had a valid way to secure this, I would ONLY use this as a TEST PLATFORM; I'm currently testing this in VMware, and it works great. Although, I highly recommend trying to find a real OEM/retail version fresh from manufacturing, otherwise, unless you want a modified and less secure version like this, don't bother.
